About a year or so ago, a sweet little old woman came to me with a camera of hers that she had found while cleaning her house (the tiny one on the bottom right) and said that if I wanted it, it was mine. And if I didn’t: “I’m sure you can find a trash bin to throw it in!” Let me just say that she prefaced that information with, “I found my spy camera!” I have yet to find a camera that I would willingly throw away, but I was most definitely not going to throw one away if I could use it as a spy camera. I mean, let’s not be ridiculous.
Since then, the rest of these have made their way to me from various friends and family – usually finding them while cleaning out the different nooks and crannies of their homes, but some were found elsewhere and just made their way to me. I love seeing how they all work and their idiosyncrasies. For instance: the Polaroid is the latest addition as of this week, and it literally has 1, 2, and 3 written on different buttons to show you which order to push them in. The box it came in has a different labeled spot for every attachment and super straightforward instructions on which lenses to use for different shots. It’s an OCD dream!
What kinds of collections do you have?
