Lexy + Wildflowers || Katy Portrait Photographer

Today, we got to hang out with one of my favorite people in the whole world: Lexy! Not only that, but she let me drag her out into the middle of some wildflowers for some photographs. Best. Girl. Ever. As many of you know, Omar + I got married in March and Lexy was my right-hand lady the entire day up until the ceremony. Like I said – the best!

Westin is 1! || Katy Portrait Photographer

You all remember Westin! (and if not, take a look) It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was meeting him for the first time and now he’s about to be a year old and has a mustache. On his shirt, at least.;)And to top it all off, they brought balloons and party hats!

Melanie and Joey, he’s as adorable as ever! Thank you for letting us share those moments with you. We can’t wait to see how the little guy grows up!

Alexander’s 7 month session! || Houston & Katy portrait photographer

Everybody, meet Alexander!

Cute, right?

I’m so glad that Houston has had some beautiful weather lately and allowed us to go hang out in the park without breaking a sweat. Or too much of one, at least…

Check out those eyes!

And here’s my favorite of the day… That is quite possibly the sweetest expression I have ever seen.

Gil and Carol, thank you for letting us come and hang out with you and Alexander! We had so much fun and can’t wait to see you all again soon!

Nolan || Infant Photographer || Katy, tx

A few weeks ago, Omar and I were fortunate enough to go catch up with an old friend of mine, Jeannie, and photograph her adorable son, Nolan. He is a very happy and giggly kiddo that kept us laughing the entire time.

… and then they brought out the moose outfit. So, if we hadn’t already thought he was charming, we didn’t have a choice after he got into that.

Congratulations on your newest addition, Jeannie & Robert! We can’t wait to see how Rose & Nolan have grown when we see you all next time!

52 reasons || DIY project for Valentine’s

Since Omar and I have been spending ridiculous amounts of money on our wedding, we had to get pretty crafty with our Valentine’s Day gifts to each other this year. And where else do you get crafty inspiration from? Pinterest, of course! A while back, I had stumbled across a “52 Reasons” pin that showed how to take a deck of cards and turn it into an adorable little book telling your significant other what it is that you love about them so much. (A subset of a much larger list, hopefully!)

After spending hours on it, let me tell you.. It takes far longer than I anticipated it taking. And punching holes into each of the cards is not kind on the hands! I had a lovely purple palm for the next few days. But seeing his reaction to reading each of the cards made it absolutely worth it. =)

Things I used:
A deck of cards.
Binder rings.
Scraps of paper/old price tags.
Glue stick.
Hole punch.
